OK, this is going to be a hard one. Inspired by Simple Sparrow and Whip Up (see my side bar for URLs) I am going to endeavour to use the month of April to Use What I Have. No craft purchases FOR A WHOLE MONTH and to use things that I already have to make something. I will only buy stuff if I absolutely need it for the course (every week we are given a list of things to bring for next week, some of which I have and some of which I don't). I was momentarily worried about Project Spectrum for April, which is Yellow and Orange, becasue they are colours I don't normally use. But I will take photos of appropriate things around the place, and I do have some mostly orange sock wool that I was planning to use anyway.
What a challenge!!!

Oh wow, a whole month of not buying craft stuff! I'm seriously impressed. Might even give it a try. Maybe. :)
G'day
If she does spend any money on craft things in April there will be hell to pay given the current "Stash Surplus"
Cheers
George
That's what I need to do . . . I am suffering from major Stash Overload here, and I really need to quit buying stuff and just make things!
Bugger, just realised that I'll be at the Royal Easter Show, Sydney in April. I might have to seek a special dispensation for the Easter weekend - maybe start my month after the Show.
Well You WILL be getting SOME yarn in April! So maybe its almost like a yarn purchase!
I've sorted out how I'm going to manage this and set a further challenge to donate the yarn cost of an item made from stash to Medicins Sans Fronitieres - might help me keep on track.
Thanks for posting about it - given me pause for thought and sent me into my stash for inspiration instead of accumulation.
Please tell George to pull his head in, bring you over here to get given some orange yarn (of which I have A LOT), and to quit complaining about your stash after he gets a look at mine!!!!!
Taphophile and I are both doing "Use What You Have Month", and my hubby has even joined in (he's an electronics nut)! It's hard going already, but I think we can do it. I don't even have any clases as an excuse... although dear daughter isn't joining in, which means I can buy stuff for *her* knitting projects, and then borrow it...um, hmmmm, that *is* a bit cheaty isn't it ;)
Thanks for starting all this madness, I think :)
